Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky in Georgetown is the largest Toyota plant outside of Japan where nearly 7,000 team members build about 500,000 vehicles and engines each year.  This free tour shows the inner workings of the 7.5 million square foot facility including computer-controlled robots!  Groups and schools can also schedule a tour of the Toyota Nature Trail, which overlooks nearly 50 acres of wetlands, prairies and bluebird boxes. Whether your family enjoys horseback riding, fishing, camping or learning Civil War history,  the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Center has adventures to satisfy all of your nature desires.

Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve includes forested areas and grasslands with over 8.5 miles of trails, spring-fed creeks, a frog pond, and waterfalls. Our visitors also enjoy picnic areas, recreational fields for different sports, a nature center, a field house, and a two hundred year old historic manor and spring house. Open dawn to dusk, every day, and free to all.

In urban Dayton, a 37-acre brownfield is transformed into a tallgrass prairie to hike and explore, bird watch and observe wildlife in a green space built to reconnect with nature.

Explore diverse habitats and hike six miles of trails throughout the 200 acre sanctuary where you can see wild and farm animals and interact with engaging, educational displays about habitats, wildlife and farming.

The Red River Gorge, part of the Daniel Boone National Forest, contains roughly 500 miles of trails,  67 different species of reptiles and amphibians, 46 species of mammals, and 100 species of birds.  Look for endangered species: the Indiana Bat, the Virginia big-eared bat, the red-cockaded woodpecker, and White-haired Goldenrod.
